My first CAS experience

Project:  "Just a few books can make a BIG difference "

Quick description:

"El Hogar de la Niña" in Santa Rosa, is a home for girls managed by nuns. The home right now is taking care of 100 poor girls, the girls live at the home from january to october, and the rest of the year they go live with relatives. At the same time the home has a little school called "Santa María Goretti", where the girls study from pre-school to the end of elementary school. 

The home was built for a capacity of 160 interns, but right now they have only 100 and they have asked for people to help them collect enough material in order for the nuns to have the material to increase their number of girls in the home up to 160. 

Goals to accomplish:

Encourage the girls from EV to participate donating used clothes, textbooks and new notebooks. 

On the 25th I'm going to accompany the Rotary club to give some donations and supplies for the home. I leave you with an inspirational quote from Ghandi:
